Binary Options Broker | Binarix Review | EZTrader Review

Binary options broker Binarix uses essentially the same platform as well known broker EZTrader. I don’t see a substantial difference between the two companies so I am going to review both of them at the same time here. Wherever we do find differences between the two brokers we will try to point them out for you.

UPDATE: Sadly Binarix Trading pulled the plug on their trading operations. Their free and premium binary options signals service still remains however.

Review of Binary Options Brokers EZTrader and Binarix

Binarix and EZTrader use a very simple and intuitive trading platform, offering yields in the range of 58-81% depending on market conditions and whatever particular security is being traded. Options are traded either on an hourly basis or in some cases expiration comes at the end of the day. It’s easy to deposit money with either broker with a wire or credit card. Where both these companies really have a sweet spot is their offerings of bonus cash. While other brokers offer *some* bonus cash *some* of the time – it always comes with absurd trading requirements, like making 10-15 times the dollar value of the deposit plus bonus cash in actual trades. Not so for the folks at EZTrader.

Did I Mention Bonus Cash?

Ok I don’t want to go overboard with whole bonus cash thing, but consider this: since I have been tracking the binary options broker industry, I have followed EZTrader, and at no time can I recall an instance where at least *some* bonus cash was being offered on new deposits. Further, the withdrawal restrictions on the bonus cash are lifted when the trader makes trading volume equal to double the value of the initial deposit plus the bonus cash. To my knowledge that is by far the best offer in the industry.

Trading Details

Pretty basic binary options trading stuff here: 58-81% yields on in the money contracts (0% on out of the money contracts). The out of the money contract rate may seem a little cheap, but when you consider they typically offer 20-30% bonus cash on new deposits… do you really think they need to be refunding out of the money contracts? Especially given the low trading volume needed to lift the withdrawal restrictions? It seems like a fair deal to me.

Trade Size Limitations

One of the bottlenecks in trading binary options at EZTrader is the maximum number of trades and nominal dollar value per security. A trader can hold a maximum position of $1500 in any one security / contract (total gross / nominal value of all contracts – puts and calls combined). Similarly the maximum number of trade positions on any one security for a given expiration is 4. For example, a trader could buy a call and three puts of the Google contract expiring at noon. Those 4 total contracts could not have a total investment greater than $1500, such as 3 $200 puts and one $900 call.

Also worth noting is that at present trades are only done in US dollars, although apparently accounts can be funded in US dollars, British Pounds, or Euros. Also one disadvantage of these brokers is the rather early lockout – 15 minutes before expiration.

Deposit and Trade Minimums

The minimum initial deposit is $100 ($10 thereafter), and the minimum contract size is $30. As previously mentioned funds can be either wired in or deposited via credit card.

Securities Offered

Both Binarix and EZTrader offer the same binary options contracts. Although their offerings aren’t the broadest in the industry, they certainly offer most of the choices popular to US and Western European day traders. They also have added a nice spread of Asian stocks as well.
